From: Tiffany Parkinson, e-mail her As a Baldry myself I am suddenly intrigued to know more about my families line and if they are involved in any featured on your site. My grandparents George and Daphne (both aged about 80) live in Hayes in Middlesex though I also think they had connections with Ruislip. They had 2 sons, Leslie (my father, born 1944, died September 2001) and Anthony (born 1948?). I was also intrigued to see that there were an awful lot of leatherworkers listed as I myself am a saddler. Do you know of any connections with my grandparents by any chance? I would love to find out more about my family and would appreciate any comments. Tiffany Parkinson, nee Baldry Please e-mail her |
From: Frances Metcalf e-mail her My g.g.grandmother was Lucy Baldry, born Long Stratton, Norfolk. b.1836 approx. She married William R. Stevens, he was born Colchester, Essex.

From: Elaine Ireland e-mail her My paternal granny was a Baldrey from Aldershot, Hants (known as 'Renee', she was possibly an Irene - the name given to her oldest daughter - she had 8 children surviving to adulthood). She was born between 1900 and 1905, so I'm hoping to make use of the 1901 census. Your mention of a couple of Baldreys being baptised in St Michael's Church in 1860 gives me another starting point - thanks. Renee had a brother who died in World War 1 and was awarded a major medal posthumously for bravery, so I'm hoping to pursue that route somehow too. Any info. appreciated. Please e-mail me. |
From: Alison Andrews e-mail her I am a great granddaughter of Albert James Baldry b.1877-d.1951 who married Margaret O'Callaghan b.1883-d.1956. They had six sons and two daughters. If you are interested I do have their names, d.o.b, etc. This info has come from my great-uncle Dennis Richard Baldry. |
From: John William Baldry e-mail him My father's name was "William James Baldry", my mother's maiden name was "Margaret Louisa Parker" and my Grandfather's name was "William Baldry" and my grandmother maiden name was "Nelly Godfrey". My grandfather was a first rate shoe and boot maker in North London in Edgeware. If you have any information I would love to hear from you. |
From: Edward Harsant e-mail him One of my 3rd gt parents was William Foyster and Harriet Baldry [married 1817 in South Elmham St Peter] also one of their daughters was a witness of the marriage of Jeremiah Baldry and Sarah Spence in 1832 at S.E. St Peters. I have done some research on Thomas Baldry and Hannah Taylor married 11 Oct 1791 and their ancestors and chidren. Is there anybody doing the same? (This family tree is on this link) |
From: Irene Scase e-mail her I have recently come across the name Ann Baldry b. abt. 1758 South Elmham who married a Thomas Freestone. They in turn had a son named Thomas b. 1788. Would you have information concerning the descendants of these people. The Thomas Freestone b. 1788 is a strong candidate for my G.G.G. Grandfather. Having hit a "brick wall" with Horace Freestone b. 1819 or 1826/26 (son of Thomas) we are trying to get at his connections through back doors. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thomas Freestone b. 1788 possibly married a Mary Chambers whose name also appears on the Baldry pages. Probably not the same Mary but at least we know the name is in the area. |
