Hubert took over the Dragon lnn from his Grandmother Hannah Baldry as licensee . He was a craftsman who also carried on buisness as builder wheelwright and agent for agricultural equipment as well as undertaker. Many of the deceased were fetched by Hubert to be laid out in a room partitioned off from the chatting and drinking in the bar . The Green Dragon was the regular meeting place as the other Pub the Eight Bells had closed in 1918.
Both Pubs are now private dwellings.
The Horham stocks,the Green Dragon pub sign , and the Horham station nameplate are now on show in the old school building
