Xmas Trip to Vallendar - Rudesheim day out Sunday 7th December 2003

The town was quite crowded & there seemed to be more stalls than last time (see this link) & no rain. We walked up to the Panoramaweg above the town & stopped in the Grüne Kranz for coffee. We stayed on for lunch, bratwürst & sauerkraut for me. Then we explored the rest of the town, including the empty back streets. Spotting the China Dolls in a hotel, we stopped to join them in apfelstrüdels (not very good) & a glühwein each for us but could not tempt them into having one. There was a natural horn sextet playing by the river.
