Lounged about & then, examined the grounds of the Abbeye-Ecole, which proved extensive.

We bought wine for Vicky's cellar & then, all went to Revel along a different road to the North. The market was in full swing. I love walking around markets & took a lot of photos, some of which were a bit too ambitious in the highly variable lighting. Wonderful vegetables, cheeses (not in our diet!) & sausages. We bumped into Vicky's frined Fay, a New Zealander Married (once?) to a Spaniard who deals in antiques, one of those skinny intense women. We met her again later for coffee & then, a whole crowd of ex-pats & real frogs with Vicky, consequently we did not get back with the salmon croustade we had bought for lunch until about 2.

After this, we attempted a siesta but it was rather too hot for sex. Then, Fay reappeared & we all went for a little shop for things forgotten in the morning. Fay knew all about Zubers in Rixheim because her business is antiques. Apparently, the firm has a showroom in Paris & is still going strong. A light supper before a concert in the Abbeye-Ecole. This was in two boring halves with a Viol (Vile) Consort with good counter tenor, harpisichord, organ & theorbo. The first was English music from 1550-1680, the second, German music of 17thC. The best was Dowland, then Nickolai. It was too hot still & we were not in bed until midnight, what with more tea & chat
