Jason's Scene

Jason was in a new Sam Shepherd play "The Late Henry Moss" at the Almeida Theatre here in Islington in January. The film, "Confetti" came out (with some of our friends in it as well) to great acclaim, or rather laughter & "Funland", a sleazy TV series about Blackpool, reached proper TV this year. He has been working on numerous projects since & has had parts in "Blue Murder" & "Fear of Fanny", the cruel Fanny Craddock biopic. He gets so much work, he forgets to tell us sometimes. "Confetti", "Funland" & "Conviction" are all available on DVD, which we have naturally bought.

Ken's Scene

Still working on a big piece sporadically. The lectures have taken off this year, having given "Liszt, the pianist, the composer, the man" 4 times (to RSVP, a knitting club; the Stuart Low Trust; the Lilian Baylis Arts Club & Club 43, a club for refugees from Hitler, still going strong,if not young). He has also done a Schumann talk, one on the "Faust Legend in Music" & a mountaineering talk on the Stübai Rundtour. He has prepared more talks for the repertoire.

THE BRAZILIAN CARNIVAL

This swept down Rosebery Avenue on July 22nd & involved several members of the Lilian Baylis Dance Company in costumes borrowed from the Brazilian Dance group performing in Sadlers Wells.
