Denise, who Ken had picked up at Jeremy Day in 2015 & has been in more-or-less constant Facebook correspondence since, threw a barbcue on Saturday 5th August, where it did not rain & was not too cold, which says all necessary about this Summer. This gave her the opportunity to meet Avis, to whom she had sent a book on Avis' last birthday (we reciprocated on her's) & us a chance to meet Harriet, Denise's significant other. Ken presented them with Anthony Barnett's book "The Lure of Greatness", a vegan curry & his tagine chicken thighs, the curry going down a storm. Some interesting people & Harriet's family. Denise's Mum Bernie wanted & got the curry recipe.
