The Golden Pillar of Spantik Series of three prints have two titles. There is a printmaker's title describing the complexity of the printing which proceeds from the technical simplicity of the representational 'Basis' to the complexity & greater abstraction of 'Essence'.
The other title is a mountaineer's , describing what you see. The Objective is the mountain itself, which is in the Karakoram in Pakistan. The Ground is what one actually climbs on & the Crux is the hardest part.
