The Mayor has a Training responsibility

...but not an educational one. That remains with the boroughs.However, they had better provide me with the right type of material. One of the big problems we face is not those of women or ethnic minorities but White Boys, who currently think reading is not macho. This is the fault of the schools, who do not have enough male teachers, especially at Primary Level teaching reading. This is a problem of pay but, as Mayor, I will not be interested in excuses. I want fully literate & motivated people leaving our schools.
