Asturias, Euskal Herria & France Cruise - Santander Page |
Monday 26th May 2014
The East part of the large, natural harbour at Santander. The sky is misleading. This was to be a nasty day.
Not a good looking start to the day. I took photos from the top deck, as there was snow on the Catabrian Hills, where Grandpa Pelayo beat the Moors.

Santillana Our coach left at 0828 & headed west to Santillana, which has a lot of old buildings & little traffic but not none, alas. We had the thickest hot chocolates ever here for €3.20 for 2 in an attempt to warm up, as it drizzled & was cold, for which we were prepared, this being Spain in May.
