The Gerrard Chronicles 2007 |
AVIS' THEATRE CAMPAIGN Thanks to Ivan Hodgson, the Senior Project Manager for Tolent, the builders, Avis has taken more groups round the site. The flats, on their Midsummer Night's Dream theme, are about finished & all the conditions in the Planning Agreement have been met. Right: the new Town Space with its custom-cut tiling, which mirrors the theatre beneath it. |

KEN VISITS THE CLIMATE CHANGE CAMP ...on August 17th near Heathrow Airport, where the ones who looked like loonies were the only sane people around. Incredibly well organised with solar & wind power & their own sewage works. Ken is desperate for the politicians to Get A Grip on the climate. |

...or rather "Young at Heart" which has now branched out a bit, so we have dances & dinners.
FUN & GAMES AT THE LILIAN BAYLIS ARTS CLUB
Ken 'raised the tone" at the Xmas Party. He won't make that mistake again! Rose won the hat competition at the Summer Party & Renée threw another on her 99th birthday. Ken rocked the boat by passing members' complaints about the poor quality of the programme to Sadlers Wells & the committee. For his pains, he had a particularly nasty letter from a committee member & was told by the SW management that they owned the club, not the members. He gave talks on Schumann & the Waltz but members want more talks & he has plenty more.
