NEW YEAR'S EVE Usual party & usual suspects. We have seen quite a bit of Vicky this year, as she often comes to Tate private views with us. |

The Baldry Family History Society has had another good year. Fewer contributions but with more "yellow boxes" being collapsed. One sad thing was the death of Abbott Conway in August, who had retired from being a Professor of Dark Age Literature to become the Vicar of Great Tew & was an occasional but valuable contributor to the BFHS. We met him only a few weeks before. There is an obituary on this link.
THE SCHUMANN PARTY A rather unusual event. Ken had (finally) given his Schumann lecture to the Lilian Baylis Club & "Olive" & Martin Page expressed an interest in it, so we threw a dinner party for them, Michey & Alan, followed by the rather harrowing lecture, Schumann's life ending so tragically. |
CHARLIE BREWSTER GETS TO 60
On October 6th, we drove to Abercraf in Wales for Charlie's 60th party, organised by his entrepreneurial son Demian. Held in the Abercrave Inn, a great time was had by all. Charlie is a true genius, works for iEARN, the International Education and Resource Network & has a thriving web site called Walk our World.
