Charles Baldry & Eliza Bridget ffrench

From: Michael Pegum e-mail him

I am the grandson of Mary Ann Baldry (1879 - 1964), the daughter of Charles Baldry and Eliza Bridget ffrench. She had a sister Doris, who married a Bill Anderson.

Although they lived in Warrington in Lancashire, Eliza Bridget was from Norfolk, so it seems possible that Charles was as well.

I am looking for their ancestors, as I can go no further back than this, and would welcome any information. Please see this link for their children.

Please e-mail me, Michael Pegum, Dublin Ireland

Mary Baldry = 17/7/1830 Carleton Rode James Stevenson

From: Brian Stevenson e-mail him

James Stevenson was my gg grandfather he was born Carleton Rode 25 april 1818 but in the 1881 & 1901 census he was married to Eliza nee Broughton. His parents were John & Ann maybe john had a brother James who married Mary Baldry. Or possibly it was James's first wife & dates are not quite correct. I would imagine there would only be one family of Stevensons in Carleton Rode & one family of Baldrys. I lived in the UK untill I was 22. All our relatives are from Norwich and I had never heard of Carleton Rode, I know now that it is only a very small village. Can you or any of your other family contacts let me know if there is any links between the two families.

Frederick Baldry son of Robert & Mary

From: Steve Caress e-mail him

I am trying to verify date of birth and place for Frederick Baldry to Robert Baldry and Mary. 1881 census says he was born in "London Whitehouse" and age 10 so possibly on the 1871 census. I have not found such a place. Any ideas? Any help appreciated.

My great, great, great grandfather was John Baldry a publican. I have no idea of his dob but probably circa 1800
His son John born circa 1820 (also a publican and later a coachman) married Susannah Silvey in the Parish of St. Augustines, City of Norwich on 2 December 1841.
Their son Frederick “Silvers” Baldry born circa 1843 married Hannah Eliza Elliott on 19 July 1863 in Great Yarmouth. Frederick was a Waterman, Yachtsman and Publican during his life. In 1875 he ran the “Bowling Green” public house at Bowling Green Row, North Quay, Yarmouth. Frederick Silvers Baldry died on 6 February 1923 aged 80 at 2 Davis Passage, Albion Road, Great Yarmouth and A.H. Baldry (son) registered the death.
