1. Introduction

This document describes a small computer system running on an IBM PC or clone acting as a gateway between a Data Vendor Feed and the Boston Treasury Systems LAN, allowing users of the BTS system to access rates. The system is written to run under Microsoft Windows. There are two classes of version, one for Windows 3.1 (16 bit) and one for Windows NT (32 bit).

The system is generically called RATEGATE and each version's executable program is named for the Data Vendor Feed it supports, with the suffix 16 or 1 for 16 bit (Windows 3.1) and 32 or 3 for 32 bit (Windows NT - do not use Windows 95):-
