Castries Harbour Southside
The Pirate Harbour on the North side
Castries has a very grand harbour entrance. The pirates must have loved it, as there is a side harbour in which they could probably conceal themselves from anyone just looking in the main entrance. I went into town to take photos. It is nowhere near as attractive closer than from the sea. There were both open-air & indoor markets & I can't resist a market. I snapped a lot of slums & went into areas where the locals wondered what I was doing there. Interesting, though. There were some murals on walls. |

The show was on a Tropical theme & it was tropical dressing-up night. Jen had told me the show was 'rubbish' but it was not bad at all.
