Asturias, Euskal Herria & France Cruise - Bordeaux Page 2 |

In the afternoon, we walked to the Musée d'Art Contemporain, rather confusingly sign-posted for cars, so if walking, one goes 7/8ths the way round a block. It is actually in the Rue Ferrière. The building is an old warehouse, ideal for its purpose but the ground floor space was filled with a very sparse & fatuous Japanese exibition of small, very realistic figures about a foot high & not many of them: a shocking waste of space. However, on floor 2 (there is no floor 1) was a show curated by one Julie Maroh (a writer/draughtsperson of graphic novels), called "Procession" & about conflict from a left-wing point of view.

Van Der Beck: Newspapers Ruins |
Upson: Overtakelessness |
Combas: (very long title!) |
Messager: Plaisir-déplaisir |
Di Rosa: 24th Di Rosa |
We walked to the West end of the Rue Ferrière, through the Public Park, turn left, cross a one-way street, carry on, turn right & you can see the Galliàne Roman Remains, of obscure origin but probably built by the Emperor Gallieanus.

We returned to the ship in time for tea, through some of those typical dreary French streets that make Watford look good.
