...performing as Garrick (below left, Jason on the right) in 'A Laughing Matter' by April de Angilis, which was paired with 'She Stoops to Conquer'. It showed how important Garrick was in the development of British theatre. Other characters were Dr. Johnson, Reynolds, Goldsmith & Burke. This toured the country before ending up at the National Theatre. He also defined Doctor Watson (below right, Jason on the right) for all time in 'Sherlock Holmes in Trouble' at the Manchester Royal Exchange.
Ever the over-worked actor, he has been making a film, playing Stephen Downey, wrongly accused of murdering a woman in Bakewell in the 70's. He has a part in 'Bridget Jones' Diary part Two, a Hollywood film & in another serious one about trafficing in girls from Eastern Europe, where he plays a police officer. He is co-operating with Harold Pinter in a series of sketches from throughout Pinter's career plus a new one, written for the Oxford Theatre Company & has several other job prospects. |
