To general disbelief, Avis achieved her 80th Birthday on August 13th. In fact, it is fun to watch peoples' faces when they learn how old she is. To celebrate, we hired the "Golden Star" from Capital Pleasure Boats, as our previous boat had been sold off as a house boat but this one was better, as was the food into which Avis can be seen tucking, right. Martin Klute, one of our Councillors, brought his jazz group. I gave Avis' life story on the tannoy.

Ken's niece, Zoi, visited us on January 31st on a round of London visits. Now Bath resident, her husband Milton is selling up his assets in Skiathos, so they are set on remaining in Bath, at least until Raphael finishes his education. She was rightly apprehensive about the new Syresa Government, who later were to be done over by the Troika.
