Venice & Dubrovnik Cruise - Dubrovnik Page |
Sunday 27th October
Eastern aspect of the entrance to the city from the mainland.
Ships the size of the (still fairly small) Braemar do not anchor off Dubrovnik Old City but berth at the new port a couple of miles to the North. There was a shuttle bus from the new port to the Pile Gate at Old Dubrovnik.
Firstly, we went on a coach trip to
Cavtat on this link. We arrived at the ship shortly before the shuttle bus took us into the Dubrovnik Old City. We wandered round a bit off the beaten track until the number of Americans off the three 'troop ships' in the new harbour, had thinned out.
