Split City

Wednesday 23rd October 2013

Split, lit by the Sunrise from the East

We had been to the Krka Waterfalls in the morning, so we got ourselves dropped at the old city & had a rapid walk all round it, as on-board time was 1515. The old city is essentially, the Emperor Diocletian's retirement home palace & the services that built up around it. Placed as it is on the sea front (a few metres back, now) it is very easy to get to.
