Biarritz

To get there from St. Marie, either follow the Urt route to the A64 or go up to the D817 & go via Bayonne. Sticking to the old road means a tedious trip through suburban Biarritz, so it is better to take the A63 (& pay) & approach Biarritz sea-front from the South. You might even have the chance to park a car by the bay South of the Villa Belsa, popular with surfers. The photos start from the South & work North. The town web site is on this link.

The Old Port

The North side of the Old Port, which is a delightful bathing beach extends via a bridge to the Virgin Rock.
