St. Jean Pied de Port (Donibane Garazi) Gateway to the Pass of Roncevalles & Pamplona (Iruña)

To get there from St. Marie, either follow the Urt route to Cambo & carry on South. At the Northern foot of the Roncesvalles Pass, St. Jean Pied de Port was an important fortress town & Vauban's fortress overlooks it. The Donjon is now a school.
