Ajaccio

Tuesday 10th April 2018

Coming into Ajaccio New City

Another late start to the Prunelli Gorges, which were nice but I have seen better. The road was pretty scary.
We stopped at the waterfalls at the top and above a dammed up section with big views.

Then through the silent village of Tolla to another, Ocana, where we stopped at a very traditional scruffy French-type bar for drinks & a walk through to the church for Ken.

Looking back from Ocana, the way we had come

Napoleon is really big round here & they don't let you forget it. There was time for Ken to do a swift circuit of the Old City, too late to get into his birthplace but got into the cathedral. The Church of John the Baptist was worth a look, too.
