Smoked Fish |
It was murky but largely dry in the morning. We had not explored “downtown Warnemunde” before and there is not too much of it. We went over the Strom Bridge and straight ahead towards the church, passing the Heimat Museum in a side road. The church was of brick construction, as is normal in this clay but no stone area but it was locked. There was a “proper” market with things normal people want to buy. We walked up to the prom and had Mocha coffee (€7.70) in the Teepott. Then, we walked up the mole for the beach view and back along the Strom. |
West side of the Strom from the Fish Market. |
One thing we noticed was the normal shops there and no ‘art’ galleries, as there would have been in England or France. We did go a little way up the other side of the Strom, which is the fish market and where they smoke fish on the spot. Then, back to the ship for an early lunch because of the tour in the afternoon.
