All along the Mediterranean Cruise - Iskenderun |
Iskenderun (panorama below) is a dump but we went on a tour to Antalya or Antioch.
Antioch is a dump as well but we visited the St. Peter Church (yes, that St. Pete) in a cave with extensions a millennium later by the crusaders.

The archaeological museum had some great stuff, including a lot of excellent Roman mosaics & objects from the Old Stone Age onwards.

Lunch break, an ethnic feast in a posh modern hotel. We went back to the museum, as parking was possible, then we walked through the Casbah, crowded with people & more shoe shops than ever seen before. Then, back to the ship.
