Kristiansund from the top deck of the berthed Braemar: Above to the left, Below to the right
Up at 06:36. It was thick mist out & while I went up onto the top deck, I saw nothing. After the trip to Grip Island, we walked round Kristiansund somewhat before returning to the ship. The town had been largely trashed in World War II & there is not much old stuff left but it is attractively scattered over four islands, now connected by bridges built with oil money, the Norwegians having had the sense to plough this hot money into infrastructure. They are also still connected by 19thC 'Sundboots' & there was a model one at the station.
